Production Work
I started producing during the pandemic. I was unsure that touring would come back and still wanted to be able to create and share music with people. I have learned a lot since then and have been able to release a few songs with artists and help as a coproducer on some songs as well.
Here are a few examples of the types of tracks I have been into making as of late. I am always down to try new things and always love getting in the studio with new artists and creating something from scratch.
Studio Work
I have been blessed to record in many different well known studios since the beginning of my career as a musician in 2009. I have worked in places such as Sound Emporium Studio in Nashville, Tennessee as well as traveled to sessions at Strange Weather Sounds in Brooklyn, New York and lots more. I am not only able to read music notation as well as lead sheets and number charts, but a unique skill of mine is being able to take the notes on the page and make great musical moments happen from the bass.

True Story
A dear friend of mine (I call her little sis), Ash Leone, texted me one day and said, “Hey what are you doing?” I was free at the time and she was in a session and needed a bass line for the track she was working on. I drove to the studio, met her and her producer and hung out for a second listening to what they had already done. I made a quick chart, took one pass at the tune and months later she sent me the final mix. I love being able to walk into an already creative environment and add exactly what needs to be added on the low end.
All You Need Is Bass
Sometimes all you need is vocals and bass. Here is an example of playing a bit more than your “normal” bass line to fill space and make the entire song still feel good when the rest of the band is nowhere to be found.

One Person Away…
The first time I played with Daru Jones….I had no idea who he was but I found out very quickly. I was on stage at The 5 Spot in East Nashville with Yebba and she called him up to sit in. Daru is such a unique player that I had to quickly adapt to his playing style. I have had the pleasure of playing with him and a few of his friends a bit more since that gig.
